I hereby purchase this [sex] [color] kitten, born [date], sired by of [father], out of [mother] for the sum of $700. In purchasing a kitten from Nippendale, the following is agreed: Our Responsibilities 1. Nippendale is a closed cattery. We warrant that the kitten is in good health at the time of sale, and all medical records will be provided. All of our adult cats have been tested Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) negative, and all kittens are guaranteed to be FeLV negative. 2. We will take back any kitten found to be genetically unsound up to nine (9) months of age, provided that the disorder is (1) attested to in writing by a licensed veterinarian within two days of the diagnosis, and (2) confirmed by our veterinarian. Veterinary costs and the cost of return will be the buyer's responsibility. The buyer will receive a full refund of the purchase price or another kitten, as he or she chooses. 3. We will provide the kitten?s registration papers (Traditional Cat Association, Inc., TCA) when proof of neutering, signed by a licensed veterinarian, is received. 4. If at any time you have any problems, please let us know. We are here for you and your kitten. Your Responsibilities 1. We recommend that you take the kitten to your own veterinarian for an examination within 48 hours of purchase. Please note that all medical expenses incurred after the purchase are the responsibility of the buyer. 2. This kitten is to be an indoor household pet only. He or she must be cared for in a humane and responsible manner at all times, including safe housing, exercise areas, clean litter box, toys, scratching post, nutritious diet, daily companionship, and grooming. It is understood that the kitten will be taken to a licensed veterinarian for all necessary shots and worming. 3. This kitten is not to be used for breeding, and must be neutered by the age of six (6) months. Upon receipt of proof of neutering, TCA registration papers will be provided. 4. This kitten should not be declawed unless, in consultation with a veterinarian, all other options have been exhausted. 5. Please let us know right away if you are no longer able or no longer want to keep the kitten! This kitten must never be abandoned, sold, or leased, or given to a pet shop, animal shelter, or research facility. I hereby attest that I have read and understood the contract and agree to all of its terms in purchasing this kitten.
